Christened ‘Meet the Buyer, Specifier and Users of Processing and Packaging Machinery’, the meet aims to promote business links between India and UK by creating new business opportunities within the processing and packaging industry and opportunities arising for joint ventures in manufacturing and import and export of finished goods.

The scope of the meet allows opportunities to purchase of machinery; sourcing of manufacturing capability; sharing of intellectual property through JVs; sale of products and services. The meet will be of immense importance to UK companies in identification of appropriate customers, partners and suppliers in a new market.

The PPMA recognises that India has emerged as a particularly attractive region for international trade and this meet would be a step towards exploring this opportunity. Goa has been selected as the entry to India, and is identified as very busy State. Though the primary activity in Goa involves tourism there is more to Goa in terms of infrastructure, level of education, the people and an openness to change and new technology. This is also an excellent opportunity for Goan entrepreneurs to take advantage of.
