During the past 12 months the BBI have had the opportunity to visit Factories that are relevant to the Bottling and Packaging Industry.
The BBI are extremely grateful to all the companies that host our visits. The visits provide a learning opportunity for our members. We are also able see Best Practice in action in businesses that are operating to World Class standards. Networking and sharing ideas is another feature of these activities.
All our hosts gave us presentations on the history, company philosophy, and culture and site facilities.
They were all improving efficiency, productivity and lowering costs with an embodied culture that is driving and challenging.
A great deal of attention given to human side of the business, harnessing ideas with teamwork being at the forefront. Each site has a different approach tailored to meet their local needs and priorities.
There is a great deal of capital investment, new lines or upgrading lines using the latest technology, as well as new buildings.
Our hosts and tour guides go to great lengths to show us their site facilities and prepare high class presentations.
The standards of hygiene and health and safety are high.
Our hosts are very open about performance and capability details.
Energy and waste savings now have a high priority.
Members that attend the visits are very appreciative of the opportunity and very complimentary about the standards that they have seen at the various sites. We have a good attendance between 20 to 30 members per visit.
